Have you ever felt trapped? Caged? Barred? Have you ever looked up from your average, normal life -out from the tedium of normality and sanity- and felt that somehow, some way that you were chained down? Can you ever feel yourself sealed in your own body, stuck in a constant cycle of life that bores you to tears at the very thought of it? And, have you ever, ever, felt the need, so incredibly overwhelming, to simply escape it all?
That, my freind, is the wild calling. It is the animal nature inside of you, wakened, once sleeping, rising from repose to feel the need of excitement and freedom and passion beyond all humanity. That is the furred beast wanting to spread its paws in the crisp winter snow, it is the winged bird wanting to spread its feathers and soar undaunted through the skies.
And, it is exactly what you will find here, in this hallowed place.
The only question is, are you willing to fight for that freedom?

 Rules and Engagement
« Thread Started on Apr 7, 2009, 4:32pm »

Here in the Wild we conduct ourselves with grace and etiquette.
Not too much, but enough to keep the chaos back.

Please, if you don't mind, follow the rules and engagement scenarios to the best or your abilities. I'll try to keep them to a minimal if you try to play fairly and courteously.
~Thank you~

Out of Character Rules

1.no cursing or graphic behavior of any kind. I understand if you aren't perfect, but keep it pg-13, please.

2.no fighting. if you have a problem with another member, I expect you to be able to work it out rationally. if this doesn't work, I(the admin) have a "Talk to Me" board for just that reason.

3.no giving or receiving personal information

4.attempt to be active. this doesn't mean "make so many posts in this amount of time", but I'd greatly appreciate it if you were to at least pop in every once in a while, just to show us you're still alive.

5.from the last point, if you need to be gone for more than a week, meaning that you absolutely will not be on this site, please leave a note on the chat board, and, if you can, include how long your absence will be. if this is a recurring event, I fully understand. just leave a note with that instead, and I'll be sure to remember.

Roleplaying Rules

1.fighting is allowed in character, but should have "fighting" in the thread title to let us know you will be fighting. you do not need supervision, but be aware of the limits of a good roleplay, and don't let it leak into your ooc relationships.

2.fighting may be graphic, but please post "graphic" in the thread title, and it might be safer to plot the fight out in an ooc board to keep it from getting out of hand.

3.this is an intermediate rpg site, so try to be grammatically correct and use proper sentence structure. also, there is no sentence minimum, but it would be nice if you expressed your thoughts completely and with some amount of detail.

4.no godmoding or powerplaying. your character cannot be all knowing and dodge everything, but they can always try to look that way. just use your imagination and fill in the gaps.

5.to kill off a character (be it yours or another person's) ok it with the staff and the owner of that character.

6.have as many characters as you'd like, and include any background/minor characters to liven up your roleplaying. minor characters appear only once or twice, and serve little to no purpose in roleplaying other than providing a "filled" feel to the thread instead of an "empty room" feel. a crowded bar, for example, might have a bartender and a few patrons in it.

Note:minor characters may be controlled by anyone, at any time. Major character controlling is godmoding.

C-Box Rules

1.no spamming

2.please use your character/member name to avoid confusion

Penalties

all penalties will result in one warning. after three warnings, you will be banned for one week. if you feel you are unjustly warned or banned, please contact the admin and the moderator that gave you your warning, and we will hold an informal hearing in Wolf's Den to decide if you are truly deserving.
